SGT Elio Dias was a Deputy Sheriff at the Charlotte County Sheriff's Department. He was very well know and beloved by his fellow officers. He also touched the lives of many within the community, and the department. May he Rest In Peace, and may his family find peace knowing that he always put others before himself.

This is the final procession on the day of his burial, several police and sheriff departments from around the state of Florida as well as neighboring states participated to show their respect for their fallen brother. The procession took over 30 minutes to pass the location I filmed it at, people were waiting there for hours just to pay their respects to him. The procession was reported to be over 7 miles long. My location was at the intersection of Rampart and Kings Highway, in front of the Winn Dixie.
