We have now had 4 units ruined due to water damage. We may have damage in two others. The cause in one instance was water was not shut off.

Spa update: We may have found someone who fixed the filter pump. We need the spa to be cleaned and the water level adjusted but the pumps are working so far.

The electric contractor has "fast tracked" our spa repair, whatever that means in Florida. We are exploring whether the spa heater, when it works, could heat the pool too.

Bad news on the pool heater. It is 12 years old and not really worth the money to repair. Luckily we are entering summer season and a heater won't be needed until fall. The spa still works.

Reminder: Leaving for the season? Turn off water and leave a key or lock box if you want your unit checked on during your absence. You might consider draining your water heater. Water heaters have a life in CC at Bal Harbor of 8-10 years before they leak and are the number one insurance claim. Decide what to do about your thermostat so you won't come back to mold. If you choose to turn off your electric, leave the garage breaker on so the outside lights stay on. Travel Safe

Both the spa snd pool heaters are not working. It appears to be an electrical problem and we are waiting for an electrician to make repairs.
