The Clarke County Litter Committee will be holding a litter pickup on Saturday, June 20 from 9:00am - 10:30am on Opequon Rd. We'd love for volunteers to participate and help keep Clarke County clean. Volunteers can meet for the pickup at the pull-off area on Opequon Road approximately 200 feet west of the intersection with Salem Church Road.

The committee recommends young volunteers be at least 10-years old, but parents must decide if their children should work along roadways and rivers. Any minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Need help applying for or renewing MetroAccess Door to Door Transit or WMATA Reduced Fare services?

Join us on June 18th as representatives from WMATA visit The Arc of Northern Virginia to assist with Reduced Fare applications and renewals, MetroAccess applications and renewals, taking required ID photos onsite, and answering questions about the programs and application process.

This event is designed to support individuals with disabilities, families, caregivers, and support professionals in navigating these important transportation services.

Please note that MetroAccess and Reduced Fare are separate programs with separate applications. Application forms must be signed by a healthcare professional within 60 days of June 18, 2026, and completed applications must be emailed to Ryan McNulty by June 15, 2026.

We encourage attendees to review the application requirements ahead of time so we can help make the process as smooth as possible.
