This one feels a little extra special.
There’s something surreal about standing in a kitchen talking contracts and inspections with someone you once knew as a student sitting in a classroom desk. And now here she is… married, raising a sweet little boy, and officially a homeowner.
This journey had a little bit of everything. Being outbid on multiple homes. Tough decisions. Inspections that uncovered more than anyone hoped for. Lots of strategy, patience, prayers, and perseverance. But through all of it, they stayed steady because they could truly see their family here.
And honestly… the apple may not fall far from the tree. As a fellow teacher (and maybe just a tiny bit intense like me), one of the things she loved most was the little sidewalk that loops around the backyard fence line because she could already picture her son riding, running, exploring, and making memories back there.
And now they get to start making those memories in a place that is finally theirs.
One of my favorite things about real estate is that houses are never just houses. They become the backdrop for bedtime stories, birthday candles, scraped knees, Christmas mornings, and ordinary little moments that someday become the big memories.
What’s one of your favorite memories from your first home purchase?
