This payment strategy is based on an agreement between the buyer and seller to set aside funds provided by the seller at closing to be applied to the next 2 years of mortgage payments; this results in a temporarily reduced interest rate for the first 2 years of mortgage payments.

This allows buyers to move into their new home enjoying the benefits and flexibility of a little more money in their pocket to cover costs of moving, furniture, repairs, new appliances, and more.

How it works:

The first year you own your home, the interest rate is reduced by 2 percentage points.

The second year you own your home, the interest rate is reduced by 1 percentage point.
