A Savior.
Born in Bethlehem, the town of David.
The Messiah.
The Lord.

For centuries, Israel had lived with a promise. The prophet Isaiah had declared, “To us a child is born, to us a son is given… and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

The word Messiah meant “the Anointed One,” a title reserved for the one chosen and empowered by God to save His people.

And this Messiah didn’t come to rule from a throne of gold, but to lay in a manger, wrapped in humility and love. He came not to conquer Rome, but to conquer sin on the cross. He did not come to elevate Himself, but to lift us. The Lord—God Himself—had come near, just as He said He would.

For to you is born this day in the town of David a Savior, Who is Christ (the Messiah) the Lord! [Mic. 5:2.]

The Fulfillment of Promises Made Long Ago

“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; He is the Messiah, the Lord.”

To modern ears, this verse is a familiar, warm, and comforting centerpiece of the Christmas story. But to those who first heard these words from the angel on the night Jesus was born, every word was electric, buzzing with fulfilled expectations.

Jeremiah had spoken of a righteous branch from David’s line, a King who would reign wisely and bring justice (Jeremiah 23:5). Micah, too, had foretold that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, David’s town (Micah 5:2).

So when the angel announced this birth to shepherds under the night sky, it wasn’t just news, it was fulfillment. This baby wasn’t an ordinary child; He was the long-awaited Rescuer, the anointed one, the Christ.

What’s Inside of You?

Have you ever made a poor decision and thought, "Why did I do that?”

In the Old Testament, the heart was considered the center of inner life, and people believed it dictated thoughts, emotions, and actions. It was essentially a combination of someone’s soul and mind.

When Proverbs 4:23 tells us to “guard our hearts," what it’s essentially saying is to pay careful attention to how you fill your inner life.

What goes into your soul and mind determines what comes out of your mouth. And what you say influences your actions and decisions. While you might not notice the effect your choices have on you today—over time, they will impact the direction of your life.

So how do we intentionally take care of our inner lives?

Our bodies were made by God, which means the thing they need most is God. He is the One who sustains us. So some of the best things we can do for ourselves is to intentionally seek God through prayer, studying Scripture, reflecting on His blessings, and inviting the Holy Spirit to speak to us throughout our day.

The best way to guard our hearts is by giving our hearts to God. When we make Him the center of our lives and the source of our strength, what we do will flow out from Him.

So instead of fitting God into our daily routines, let’s create our daily routines around our relationship with God. Let’s create space for God to speak to us and restore us. Let’s allow God to heal the parts of our lives that are broken—so that what comes out of us is good, encouraging, and leads to an abundant, joy-filled life.

Something deeply troubling is happening in the Body of Christ, and far too many believers are sleepwalking straight into it. I am watching Christians who once defended Israel with clarity and conviction slowly drift into the same conspiratorial language, the same suspicion, and the same poisoned rhetoric that has fueled hatred against the Jewish people since the dawn of time. They do not even realize it. They think they are being discerning. They think they’re “seeing through the lies.” In truth, they are being quietly discipled by voices they should have been far more cautious about.

This is exactly how an entire nation in the 1930s was turned. They didn’t begin with hatred. They began with doubts, whispers, rumors that felt intelligent, questions that sounded reasonable. Their instincts were worn down. Their compassion was redirected. Their minds were shaped long before their hands ever participated in evil. And that same spirit is whispering again through the screens of this generation.

Today it is not N**i radio broadcasts doing the work. It is influencers. It is podcasts. It is smooth voices who package suspicion as enlightenment. And what makes this even more dangerous is that many Christians are being manipulated by people they once respected. Tucker Carlson. Candace Owens. Voices they trusted for years. Now those same voices are platforming far right extremists like Nick Fuentes, a man who openly denies the Holocaust. Ask yourself why they would give him a microphone. Ask yourself why they would allow a Holocaust denier, a man dripping in hatred, to shape the conversation about Israel. And then ask yourself who wants you to believe this stuff.

Because it is not God. He is not the author of confusion, suspicion, or revisionist fantasies. Only the enemies of truth want you doubting the reality of evil, questioning the suffering of the Jewish people, and softening your heart toward the same spirit that fueled genocide. Only the enemies of God want you repeating language that dehumanizes Israel and paints them as some global menace hiding behind the word Zionism. And if you listen closely to the tone of these voices, if you look at the fruits they produce, you will see that the same ancient hatred is driving them. A hatred that has never stopped its pursuit of Israel since the moment God placed His covenant upon them. Satan hates Israel and tge Jewish people, he always has and always will! Do not align with him)

What grieves me is how carelessly believers are opening their mouths and repeating the rhetoric they hear without any concern for truth. They pass along unverified claims. They share conspiracies that cannot be proven. They speak confidently while standing on nothing but the fumes of internet outrage. They think they are uncovering secrets, yet they are being played like instruments. And they never stop to consider that the very people they are agreeing with are atheists, extremists, activists, and violent men who hate God, hate the Bible, hate the Church, and hate Israel. If your voice is echoing theirs, something is spiritually wrong.

And please, spare me the replacement theology nonsense. Do not come at me with the idea that God abandoned Israel and now only deals with the Church. That false doctrine has been the doorway to Jewish hatred for centuries, and it is as easily debunked as it is dangerous. It is not revelation. It is rebellion disguised as theology.

The question every believer must ask is this: who wants me to believe these ideas? Who benefits from Christians turning against Israel? Who rejoices when the Church repeats accusations birthed in darkness? Who delights when believers unknowingly align themselves with voices that deny the Holocaust, mock the suffering of the Jews, and turn Israel into a global villain? The answer is simple. The same spirit that animated the N**is. The same spirit that animated ancient empires. The same spirit that has pursued God’s people from the beginning. Hell is thrilled when Christians join the chorus.

This is a rebuke, and it is a loving one, because deception is not a small matter. When you repeat the words of the godless, you stand with the godless. When you echo the slander of the violent, you step into their shadow. Your intentions do not erase your agreement. Heaven hears it. Hell hears it. And the spiritual realm does not wait for you to qualify your motives before it recognizes your alignment.

It is time to wake up. Break agreement with every voice that hates the God of Israel. Stop letting influencers disciple your thinking. Stop trafficking in rumors that lead your heart away from truth. Guard your mind. Guard your spirit. And remember this: when your words match the words of those who despise God, you are already standing in a place you never meant to go. (Not written by me, but I fully agree)

Prayer and Praise

Throughout our lives, we will all experience both suffering and joy. We'll have times of great grief and times of overwhelming happiness. Sometimes, these experiences will happen in separate seasons. But at other times, they will merge at the same time.

In either case, James expected Christians to come to God. If someone was suffering, prayer was the call to action. If someone was cheerful, praise was the clear next step.

In every circumstance or situation, let’s remember to take both our prayer and praise to God. When we do that, we keep our eyes on Jesus, and He helps us endure every situation we face.

So what are you facing right now? Take a moment to pray to God and tell Him all you’re going through. Then, reflect on the good things happening in your life, and praise Him for who He is!

Is anyone among you afflicted (ill-treated, suffering evil)? He should pray. Is anyone glad at heart? He should sing praise [to God].

This might seem obvious, but when suffering clouds our thinking, we can sometimes forget to prioritize prayer. And when things are going well and life is good at the moment, it’s easy to just enjoy the season and not stop to praise God. But every season of life is an opportunity to put into practice what James wrote about…

When we are suffering, let us pray. When those around us are suffering, let us pray. When we are feeling blessed or cheerful, let us thank God. When others are happy, let us praise God and celebrate with them.

Get Ready

Would a doctor begin an operation without surgical gear? Would a firefighter run into a burning building without a protective suit? Would a soldier head into a battle without armor?

Writing to the believers in Ephesus from a Roman prison, the apostle Paul said:

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬

Every day, we face battles that we can’t fully see. And if we’re not prepared, we cannot do our job of loving God and people well.

God’s armor is readily available, but we must make the intentional decision to dress ourselves for battle.

When we intentionally dress ourselves in the armor of God, we can be ready for the attacks that will inevitably come our way.

Put on God's whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
