🚨 LONG FINANCE POST 🚨

I grew up with a very financially responsible mom and a semi financially responsible dad. Basically my mom handled all the finances in the house. Growing up there were money lessons here and there. But once I turned 18 the advice was “don’t get a credit card”.

I’m a “why” kinda girl so naturally because I didn’t know the why, I set out to find out on my own. “They’re bad” didn’t suffice, not in the least.

11-12 years later I’ve learned the “why” and completely learned my lesson. Not necessarily that they’re bad, but they are bad if used incorrectly. They’re bad if you don’t have the correct mindset behind using them. I am finally credit card debt free after having my first credit card at 18.

I’ve made it my business to be on a no matter how long it takes i will get there. I’ve fallen off due to COVID a some of my own laziness but I’m back... focused and motivated. I’m not giving myself a projected/goal date anymore but what I will do is use my extra income as a to help em reach my goal.

This goal now includes my personal loan, car loan, and student loans. Looking forward to see what Uncle Joe will do once he is in office in Jan. 2021. But in the meantime in between time I will refocus and get back to basics of paying off my debt.
