It’s understandable that not everyone who desires to purchase a property is prepared to purchase a property but if that decision is your long term plan it’s important to take actions and get the necessary steps in place.

I just seen a 4 bedroom 1 bath cape house rental in Rosedale, Queens for $4900 when I did the math the equivalent home average purchase price the mortgage, taxes and insurance comes out to approximately in the same range of a monthly payment.

This is where individuals and families start to contemplate the decision of do we rent again when needing to move or explore the option of buying.

We often don’t speak about when the market shifts and rentals may be scarce more people may be on the rental market than the buying market therefore rents also increase for new rentals on the market.

So when you purchase a home you are not buying interest rates, you are being qualified for your level of financial affordability of a monthly payment and do you want to pay that in rent or a mortgage.

You can eventually lower a mortgage payment but more than likely you will never be able to decrease rent on someone else’s property.

I used to host speaking events and only 10 people would show up. I didn’t define those moments as failures because I was grateful even just ONE person wanted to hear me speak. No matter how big or small the room was , one thing stayed consistent - my purpose to serve. I am forever grateful for all of your support 🙏

The effectiveness of a real estate board is reflected in how well its members understand and utilize the services, resources, and opportunities available to support their businesses.

Real estate is a constantly evolving industry. Being an active member—beyond simply closing transactions—can have a meaningful impact on your professional growth, your business, and ultimately the consumers you serve.

Your membership is more than a credential. It’s a resource, a network, and an opportunity to be part of shaping the future of our industry.

My fellow Realtor colleagues stay in the know and get involved.

🌏 What if your next real estate opportunity—or even your next chapter in life—was outside the United States?

Singapore wasn’t originally on my radar as a destination to explore beyond a short stopover. But after spending three days there, I found myself looking at the city through a different lens—not just as a traveler, but as a real estate professional.

Why are people moving to Singapore? What makes its real estate market so different? And could more Americans eventually see Singapore as a place to live, work, invest, or build a business?

I explored these questions—and shared what caught my attention—in my latest blog:

“Going Global: Singapore Through the Eyes of a Traveler & Real Estate Professional.” 🇸🇬

April is Fair Housing Month.

A time to reflect on the long history of housing discrimination in the United States — and how its impact still shapes housing access and affordability today.

It has only been 58 years since the passage of the Fair Housing Act, which made housing discrimination illegal.

But making discrimination illegal didn’t automatically erase it.

The legacy of redlining, steering, and systemic inequities continues to influence who has access to opportunity, wealth-building, and stable housing.

Fair housing is not just history — it’s present-day responsibility.
