A lot of people see (and hear) the new buildings rising. What they don’t always see is the years of remediation, infrastructure work, engineering, planning, and public investment happening underneath all of it.

The transformation happening in Gowanus didn’t happen overnight — and neither did the work required to make the neighborhood cleaner, more connected, and more livable for the future of the city.
