As part of the Quincy400 year of celebratory events, Mayor Thomas P. Koch and the City of Quincy are proud to announce an evening with New York Times best-selling author, Elin Hilderbrand.

Named “the queen of the beach reads”, Hilderbrand has penned 30 novels, most of them set on the island of Nantucket. Her recent book “A Perfect Couple” was adapted into the Netflix limited series starring Nicole Kidman.

The event will be held on Thursday, March 13th at Granite Links, 100 Quarry Hills Drive, Quincy, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The evening will include an author discussion moderated by Kiss108 Morning Personality, Lisa Donovan. A book signing will follow. Please feel free to bring one of your favorite of her novels for signing.

The event is free to the public but ticketing through Eventbrite will be required to secure a seat. Link information will be available on quincy400.com and Quincy400 social media platforms. SAVE THE DATE ☃️

The City of Quincy's Presidents Day Winterfest 2025 will be held on Monday, February 17th.

Afternoon and evening activities will take place from noon – 7:00 p.m. in and around the Hancock Adams Common, 1305 Hancock Street, under heated tents as well as inside Quincy City Hall and the Church of the Presidents. All events are free to the public and will include puppet and dinosaur shows, ice sculpture demonstrations, jugglers, acrobats, stilt-walkers & fire performances, educational shows, bands throughout the day and more. The full schedule of events will be posted in advance.

No tickets are necessary. Seating will be on a first come first served basis with limited seating for some of the shows. Doors will open 15 minutes before each event.

Musical performances include The Flagship Drumline from 1:00-1:30 p.m. & 3:00-3:30 p.m., Brand New Boy Band from 12:00-12:30 p.m., Music At The Blissful Kids Show from 12:45 p.m.-1:30 p.m., country singer Tony Jackson from 1:45 p.m.-3:15 p.m., Matt Heaton & The Outside Toys Kids Show from 3:30 p.m.-4:30 p.m. and World Premier Band at 5:00-5:45 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m.

Food and drink for purchase will be available from Wahlburgers, Moyzilla, Ellie’s Treats, Craig’s Cafe and Break Rock Brewing Company.

Discover Quincy Welcome Center, QArts Gallery, Quincy400 Headquarters and Adams National Historical Park Visitor Center will all be open during the event for visitors.

Dover ….. Yup ! We said DOVER ! Well known for some of the top schools in the state.
