Have you wondered what is being built near your neighborhood? Did you hear that business XYZ was coming to New Kent and you want to see what has been submitted to the County presently? The recently created land development viewer application shows proposed developments, both commercial and residential, for property within New Kent County.
Using the link in the comments, users may then search by project name (ex: Sunbelt Rentals). If the project name is not known, use the +/- to zoom in or out to see labels for different projects throughout the county. All labels do not appear initially or when zoomed out, so zooming in on particular areas of the county will show additional project labels. Property information is provided for all projects including owner & address data, site plan (if available), and other identifying information on the project.
Users can also just click on any labeled parcel on the map to view property information in a pop-up window. Zoom in to see parcel outlines in order to click and view the pop-up window.

If you have questions about a particular piece of property that you’ve seen cleared recently but there isn’t a proposed plan showing on this application for that property, it may be a timbering operation.
