September, you beautiful little overachiever.
You're my favorite month. You bring the hum of buzzy bees, golden afternoons, cooler mornings, and that delicious hint of autumn in the air. But you also have a habit of grabbing us by the shoulders and saying, "Ready or not!"

This year, September has felt less like easing into fall and more like taking a 90-degree corner a little too fast. I think there's actually a physics term for it—centripetal force. Whatever it's called, I know I've been feeling it.

If you've wondered where I've disappeared to, here's the short version: I picked up a part-time job, we're celebrating two weddings in our family, my son is off to an internship, my daughter is back in school, and somewhere in between I've been trying to remember things like...where I left my coffee. (Usually in the microwave.)

Life has been gloriously full.

And maybe that's why I haven't been posting as much here. Truthfully, I'd rather be real than pretend I have it all perfectly balanced. I have a feeling many of you know exactly what September feels like.

The funny thing is, while life has been racing along, the real estate market has been doing the opposite. It's settling into a steadier rhythm.

I'm seeing buyers with a little more room to breathe, sellers who benefit from thoughtful pricing and presentation, and a market that rewards patience over panic. It's less about rushing and more about making smart moves.

So if you've been wondering whether this fall is your season to buy, sell, downsize, or simply start asking questions, my door (and my inbox) are always open.

For now, I'm choosing to enjoy the bees a little longer, soak up these September days, and be grateful for the beautiful chaos that reminds us we're alive.

Tell me—what's been keeping you busy as bee this September?

Hi friends!
August always feels like a bit of a crossroads—summer isn’t quite over, but you can feel fall getting closer. And around here, there’s always something worth noticing.
I put together a little August newsletter with a few things I thought you might enjoy—including a peek at what’s happening in our local real estate market, something local I’ve been loving lately, and a few other bits and pieces from life around Southeast Wisconsin.
You can open the attached newsletter here: 👇
Whether you’re thinking about buying or selling, simply curious about the market, or just like keeping up with what’s happening around our community, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to flip through it.
And, as always, if there’s ever anything real-estate-related I can help you think through, I’m just a text, call, or email away.
Enjoy the last little stretch of summer!
Lindsay

WHO OWNED 1650 College Ave!? (built in 1907, there is BOUND to be history here!). A brief excerpt on the "Bacon House"

Racine's Historic District is bursting with the stories of Racine's 19th century "Who's Who"
More than a century ago, this neighborhood became home to ship captains returning from the Great Lakes, visionary business owners, and community leaders who built timeless homes just a short stroll from the shores of Lake Michigan. Today, those tree-lined streets, architectural details, and lake breezes still create a feeling that's hard to find anywhere else.
Now, you have the opportunity to own a piece of that story.
🏡 1650 College Ave., Racine is more than a beautiful home—it's a chance to become part of one of Racine's most treasured neighborhoods. (listing link in the comments)
🎥 Watch the video, then imagine your own Sunday afternoon here... a walk to the lake, coffee or ice cream nearby, admiring the historic homes, and ending the day on your own front porch.
✨ Open House

1:00–3:00 PM
I'd love to show you why this neighborhood has captured hearts for generations.
And here's something fun... if you're coming to the Open House, send me a message and I'll share my favorite "Perfect One-Hour Historic District Date." It's a curated Sunday afternoon featuring some of my favorite local spots, beautiful architecture, and a lakeshore stroll that will have you falling in love with the neighborhood as much as the home.
Because when you buy here, you're not just buying a house—you’re investing in a lifestyle and becoming part of Racine's continuing story.
See you Sunday! ❤️

What do today’s homebuyers actually care about? 🏡✨
Hint: it’s not just square footage and granite countertops anymore.
The next generation of buyers is thinking differently—prioritizing lifestyle, flexibility, location, and even how a home feels day-to-day. If you’re considering selling (now or in the future), understanding these shifts can make a huge difference in how you position your home.
I’m sharing a great breakdown from RE/MAX that highlights exactly what’s shaping buyer decisions right now 👇
Such a helpful read whether you're selling, buying, or just staying informed.
