Media Partner,
With the upcoming winter weather, we want to share details about the warming centers in Hardin County. Please note that these centers are strictly for warming purposes only, no amenities, such as food or other provisions, will be available.
While the exact impact of this weather event is still uncertain, it could be significant. We urge everyone to make preparations now. If you have friends or loved ones who are oxygen-dependent or otherwise unable to care for themselves, please work with them to develop a plan immediately.
If someone finds themself without power or adequate shelter and are unable to transport themselves to a warming center, we, along with the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, will assist in extreme cases. Please understand that resources are likely to be limited, and this service should only be utilized in the most critical situations.
This weather event is highly dynamic, and our response will adapt as the situation develops.
