We all know Mondays can be hard. I think the Mondays in January are the hardest! 🙂 For me, they also tend to be the most hopeful because it’s the start of a new year, new opportunities and growth. So today’s is all about drowning out the fears that can sometimes paralyze us from all that lies before us…if we just take those necessary first steps! 👣

Nehru was India’s 🇮🇳 first Prime Minister after their independence. His words remind us that fear can blind us to the reality in front of us, and we can achieve great things by not letting fear win.

Happy 2022 Everyone! Today’s is a perfect way to frame one’s mindset for the start of the new year. “In a culture where we’re conditioned for nonstop striving, it’s crucial to remember to pause and acknowledge the happiness that comes from feeling connected to our surroundings.” Let’s all take some time to reflect on the happiness we were fortunate enough to experience over the last few weeks and carry that joy with us going forward.

Today’s is all about reflecting on our pasts. With this quote, Ba Jin points out that no experience exists in a vacuum. By reflecting on where we’ve been, we can chart the course ahead to steer us in a better direction. This time of year is a great opportunity to reflect on where we’ve been, what we’ve been able to accomplish and how far we’ve come! Reflecting on our pasts, taking the time to appreciate our achievements is an important step in planning our futures and developing our goals for the new year!

The people closest to us can tell us a lot about our own values, and it’s important to surround ourselves with those who bring love, support, joy, and fun into our lives. We’ve all heard it before: “surround yourself with successful people!” And we agree but let’s take it a step further…why not surround ourselves POSITIVE AND SUCCESSFUL people. People who root for our wins and encourage us to be better and do better! We’ll start! 🙋🏻‍♀️

When we realize our actions can either help or harm our future selves — or later generations — the choices we make become immensely impactful. It may require sacrifice and hard work today, but we will surely be thankful for our efforts in the long run.

Many of us may have some time at home today. Let’s take some time to think about our goals and where we find our joy and plan our next steps. Then stop. Take a moment to accept that having a plan is great but it’s highly unlikely that we will achieve these goals exactly how we planned. Set your eyes on achieving the goal, not on the path that gets us there!
