💡 Older millennials (1980-1989) are in second place, making up 23% of homebuyers.

It’s completely normal to feel simultaneously excited and nervous about submitting your offer on a house. It’s a significant decision, but there are a few methods you can use to make your offer strong and stand out from the crowd.

Here’s how:

✅ Be alert of listings so you are one of the first people to view a home and to put an offer on it.

✅ Offer above the asking price if you and your real estate agent deem that a worthwhile strategy or if it’s a competitive season. Alternatively, offer to add an escalation clause.

✅ Be open to an appraisal gap.

✅ Get pre-approved by a local lender. This step is nearly non-negotiable!

✅ Defer adding closing terms and a timeline for sellers, especially when it’s a seller’s market.
