I know I’m late to this party and I’m not one for trends. But looking back at 2016’s Instagram posts got me realizing how good of a year it was. Fun trips and good people. A simpler time in a lot of ways. I’d like to bring this type of energy into 2026 so I’ll take it. Cheers to 2026!

These past few months have been a wild mix of heartbreak, plot twists, and unexpected new beginnings.

I’m excited to share that I stepped into a new role as a Marketing Manager for a global property management company. I get to help market everything from high rise communities to single family rentals in the Raleigh area. It’s been so fun diving into a whole new side of real estate and expanding my knowledge beyond the residential world I already love.

And here’s the best part > Even with this new chapter, I’m still helping families buy and sell with Tucker Realty Group.

TRG has been behind me one hundred percent through this. That’s the beauty of having an incredible team in your corner; you’re supported, encouraged, and fully backed no matter what season you’re in. When you work with us, you’re not just getting one agent… you’re getting a whole team making sure you’re taken care of.

On the marketing side, I’m now working with a powerhouse team ( ) and learning a ton about the multifamily and rental space, which only adds to my expertise in all things real estate.

I’m really excited for this chapter and everything it’s bringing. If you want to know more about my new role, feel free to DM me or connect with me on LinkedIn.

New stories, new skills, same heart for helping people find home. ✨

Paxton 💔

It is with a heavy heart that I share Paxton left this world unexpectedly Monday morning in the most “Paxton” way possible….while happily eating a treat. 🌈

He gave me nearly 9 years of love, adventures, and constant companionship. Just in the last month we celebrated his 12th birthday with a pet store trip, hikes, a mountain adventure, and plenty of cuddles and treats (all these pics are from this last month).

I’m heartbroken, but so grateful he didn’t suffer and I didn’t have to watch him suffer. He lived a full, happy life, and he was so, so loved.

Give your pets an extra cuddle and treat today in his honor. 🐾💙 And I’d love if you’d share a memory of him here, whether just something I posted that made you smile or if you got to meet him in person.

Donations in his honor can be made to Best Friend Pet Adoption. BFPA.org/donate

A year ago, I went for a long-overdue regular check-up. I always went to the doctor when sick and kept up with gyno/derm visits—but a full physical? It had been years.

When my blood results came back, my TSH (thyroid function) were off. An ultrasound revealed two large nodules—big enough for a biopsy.
🚨 “Don’t worry,” they said. “Nodules are common—only 5% are cancerous.”
💉 Biopsy came back suspicious → 30% risk.
🔬 Further testing → Atypical → 75% risk.

At this point, I lost it. I was scared. The next step? Surgery. They needed to remove at least half my thyroid to know for sure. And then… I had to wait 4–6 months.

In February, I had my first-ever surgery (besides wisdom teeth). Right before they took me back, I started crying so scared. Then they gave me something to relax, and next thing I knew, I was in the OR talking about how much I HATE oatmeal cookies. 😂 Then... lights out.
✨ When I woke up, it was a huge relief. The surgery was over.
✨ Recovery was mostly smooth sailing, with a couple of rough days.
✨ Then, at my post-op appointment, the news I had been waiting for:
💖 Noninvasive follicular thyroid neoplasm with papillary-like nuclear features (NIFTP).
💖 Meaning… NOT cancer. Nothing further needed! 🙌

This experience changed me. It made me realize how important our health is and how we never truly know what someone is going through. I didn’t want to share until I knew the outcome—but I hope this inspires someone else to:

✔️ Go to the doctor regularly—don’t put it off.
✔️ Advocate for your health. If something feels off, push for answers.
✔️ Take care of your body. Move it, fuel it well, and treat it with love. 💕

The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland at the base of your neck. Butterflies symbolize transformation, growth, and new beginnings. Now? I have half a wing. But even with half a wing, I’m still flying. 🦋😭

Today, I’m stronger and healthier than I was a year ago. Probably the best health I’ve been in years. I believe this happened to prevent something worse down the line and push me toward becoming my best, healthiest self.

Now that this is behind me… I’m ready to crush life and enjoy every single day. With ❤️ - Alice Ann

Words can’t express the sadness of seeing what’s happened at our beloved NC mountains. My family bought a cabin a few years back in a small town called Todd on Ashe County in Western NC. It’s such a special place. I was just there end of August.

Hurricane Helen coming through last week was such a shock. And in Ashe County, half of it was overall OK (including where my mom and step dad’s cabin is), but half the county was devastated.

And while Boone and Asheville were severely affected as well, there are so many small towns in other locations like Ashe County that were completely taken out and haven’t gotten the media coverage or the aid.

This is my small attempt to shed some light on Ashe County and provide some ways to help out this area that is so special to me. It’s such a rural area that we don’t even know the true devastation yet. And many don’t have the resources to rebuild.

How can we help? There are a few organizations that are working directly in Ashe County. Comment below or DM me and I’ll send you some links. (And check the stories)

Here’s a little bit about me and how I got to where I am. I’d really love your support by sharing this post with a Realtor you know. 🩵

I’m once again ramping up my content. Social media can be a lot of work. But with a good plan in place and a “just post it” attitude, it can be easier than you think.

It’s easy to get in your head about what to post or overthink it. This is one of my main reasons I myself haven’t been consistent. But someone very smart reminded me today (ahem ) you have to just do it. Post it. Make a commitment. And take action.

We can’t let our fears of what people will think get to us. You have to be just authentically you and where you are in your journey. And it’s ok to look silly or make a mistake.

WE ARE ALL HUMAN AND PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THAT. So if you’ve been slow to post something because you don’t feel a certain way or look your best, post it anyway. You might be surprised that that one may be just the one to get your more business. 💙🩵
