Strasbourg - My heart is still there! The storks were just returning to their nest (from South Africa) last week. They mate for life and return to the same nest each spring. The male flies ahead of the female to begin adding to their nest. They are a sign of Spring in Alsace and are celebrated . The nests are situated high in trees or on buildings and can weigh up to a half a ton❣️

A blustery cold day in Amsterdam featuring crazy strong winds, rain, and sleet could not diminish the charm of this lovely city. Not pictured are the wild parakeets in the trees above (just could not get a good photo) who squawked and chattered and flew from branch to branch.
