Triangle Community Foundation and Capitol B recently released a new interactive housing continuum tool that maps the full ecosystem of housing need and support. ⚒️

The tool features several community members including Mr. James Watson, a Raleigh native and Army Veteran who, through our Homeownership Center in partnership with Raleigh Area Land Trust made history as the first homeowner of Wake County’s first and only Community Land Trust.

Explore the tool and learn more about the organizations making housing access possible across the Triangle.

“I didn’t grow up in the safest neighborhoods, so it means everything to see my child playing outside without fear. I’m just really thankful to live somewhere that feels safe.”

It’s stories like these from a resident at Washington Terrace, that fuel our work.

We strive to provide high-quality affordable housing that helps residents reclaim safety and security for their families.

We're excited to join communities across the country in celebrating NeighborWorks Week on May 23 - June 7!💚

This year’s theme, Creating Homes, Building America, reflects what we see every day - when residents, partners, and organizations come together, we can expand access to affordable housing and build resilient communities.

Across the NeighborWorks America network, organizations will be hosting volunteer events, community activities, and educational programs that showcase resident-led solutions in action. We invite you to follow along, get involved, and help us celebrate the impact of this work.

When the Catri family relocated to the Triangle, they were looking for something many families hope for - a safe, affordable home where their children could grow up. Like many first-time buyers, they quickly found the market challenging, with few options within reach.🏠

Through our partnership with the Raleigh Area Land Trust, the Catri family was able to find and purchase a home that met their needs and allowed them to stay rooted in their community.

“Finding a home that we could afford in our area seemed impossible,” they shared. “But because of RALT and DHIC, we’ve been given an opportunity that we wouldn’t have had otherwise.”

We believe strong communities are built through care and collaboration.🫶

Last month we were proud to welcome back Service Raleigh and NC State students to The Village at Washington Terrace for a second year of hands-on service. Together with residents, they helped clean up, organize and beautify the community garden and communal locker space.

What made the day especially meaningful was the spirit of partnership. Residents, students, and staff worked side by side, reinforcing that community development is strongest when it is truly collaborative.
