Triangle Neighborhood Spotlight: The Hamptons at Umstead is part north Raleigh’s luxury landscape that I’m intimately familiar with.

It’s a custom-built community from the early 2000s, tucked along the eastern edge of Umstead State Park. Homes typically sit on one third to half-acre lots, on cul-de-sacs and quiet streets. The build quality is consistent. The trees are mature. Many lots back to buffers or HOA owned common area. The 5,000 acre state park is one of Raleigh’s most preserved natural spaces.
