I hold a BA degree in International Studies from the University of North Carolina (Go Heels!) and an MBA in Finance from Wake Forest University. My diverse background as a financial advisor, securities analyst, and small business owner has given me a wealth of knowledge to draw from as I help you pursue your real estate goals. In addition to my time at UNC, I lived in Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill for 18 years before briefly relocating to the Asheville area. My focus is in the Research Triangle area, but I am also an experienced agent in Western North Carolina. I am still an active member of the Hendersonville Board of Realtors and have intimate knowledge of the Asheville, Black Mountain, Hendersonville, Lake Lure, and Tryon markets. As a life-long resident, I know this area! Durham is my hometown; I attended college in Greensboro and spent five years in a small coastal NC town before moving back to the Triangle to call Raleigh my home for the past 30 years. The Asheville area has long been a popular destination for vacation homes and mountain getaways. However, the demand for second homes has waned, but the supply of such homes is simultaneously soaring.

Corporate investors are increasingly buying up mobile home communities and raising rents, leaving residents with few options since moving a mobile home costs $4,000 to $10,000. In Clinton, TN, one retiree saw her lot rent jump from $275 to $650 a month under new corporate ownership.

Durham, North Carolina offers first-time homebuyers up to $80,000 in assistance through a 15-year forgivable loan, meaning buyers who stay in the home as their primary residence for 15 years owe nothing back. A city audit found that many eligible buyers may not be hearing about the program consistently, and warned of underutilization risk that could limit the program's reach.
