I have to go to Raleigh, NC for an “emergency.”

Very urgent matters include: my favorite Radiance cold-press juice from Toastique, a walk along Lake Johnston, happy hour downtown at St. Roch with fresh, local oysters.  Exploring Raleigh’s incredible neighborhoods, and quite a few more things. Swipe to see.

Selling here usually has nothing to do with the house.
If you’re looking to sell your Raleigh, North Carolina home and desire distinctive representation with integrity, innovative marketing, and a proven, clear process, let’s talk. Send me a DM, fill out the form in my bio or comment below to get started.

People assume you sell because something went wrong. Usually it’s the opposite. Life changed and the house didn’t.

Here’s what it actually sounds like when someone calls me:

They’re done maintaining 8,000 square feet in Drewry Hills. What they want is a condo downtown. Not just less house. A different week. The Farmers Market on a Wednesday afternoon, dinner at the bar without planning it eight days out, a concert a few minutes from the lobby, and somebody else dealing with the roof.

They’re turning long weekends at the beach in for longer stretches of time at the coast and fewer days IN office. Focusing time and energy on the happy place.

They bought in 2019 for $724,000 and just found out what it’s worth now. You can’t un-know that.

The taxes, the lawn service, the upkeep on 4,500 square feet. It adds up to a lot of trips they’d rather be taking.
They are done with holidays that start in an airport.

None of that means you hate Raleigh.

It means the house stopped fitting.

TICKETS HERE: https://www.ncmodernist.org/sakeinthecity.htm

Spend an evening inside the house Arthur McKimmon designed for himself in 1956 — and in the gardens he planted and tended for the next forty years — tasting Japanese sake you’ve never heard of and rating every pour.
NCModernist Special Events Manager Devra Dubroff pours a flight of sake blind. You’ll taste, score, and argue; sushi arrives in between; and at the end you’ll find out what you actually liked and where to buy it. No prior sake knowledge required — being wrong in good company is most of the fun.
Strictly limited tickets available.

These evenings sell out.

Some cities have beautiful homes - Raleigh, NC has entire streets of them.

1    Back Nine Estates, A gated community in North Raleigh with gorgeous custom homes and exquisitely-landscaped yards.
2    North Ridge, A golf course community with gracious lots, mature hardwoods, and winding streets create the feeling of a private retreat.
3    Country Club Hills, where custom luxury homes, painted brick exteriors, steel windows, and timeless architecture create one of Raleigh’s most sought-after neighborhoods.
4    Chapel Hill, you’ll find private estates with gated entrances, long tree-lined driveways, rolling acreage, and room to spread out—all while remaining about 20 minutes from Downtown Raleigh.

The homes here were built for people who cared, and most of them have been kept that way.
If you’re considering a move to Raleigh, NC, the houses are the part nobody prepares you for.

The questions I get asked again and again about living in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Comment LOCAL919 and I’ll send you my Moving to Raleigh Guide.

For example, who’s the best florist in Raleigh, North Carolina? Easy. Trellis in North Hills, Kelly Oldom downtown, and Petal + Fern if I need something same day.
Or where do people go to celebrate something in Raleigh? Crawford and Son in historic Oakwood, and book it 3 weeks out. If you want somewhere quieter, East End Bistro in Iron Works.

This is most of what I actually do for clients moving to Raleigh, North Carolina from out of state. The listings are the easy part. Knowing who to call for a last minute gift, where to eat when there is good news to celebrate, and which part of Wake County you actually want to be in is what takes years to learn.
If you’re moving to Raleigh, North Carolina, or anywhere across Wake County and the greater Research Triangle I put all of it in one place.
