📢 Attention Business Owners! 📢

If you own an LLC, corporation, or other business entity formed before January 1, 2024, there’s a new requirement under the Corporate Transparency Act you need to know about!

You must submit a Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) report to FinCEN by the end of 2024. Failure to do so could result in penalties of $500 per day 😱. I registered mine yesterday and it only took about 5 minutes.

Be sure to consult your accountant for any questions or to ensure compliance. Don’t let this deadline sneak up on you!

A final rule implementing the beneficial ownership information reporting requirements of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) was issued in September 2022. These regulations go into effect on January 1, 2024. Beneficial ownership information will not be accepted prior to January 1, 2024.
