🏡 There are many designations in real estate. This one is different — and rare in residential real estate.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been invited to join The Counselors of Real Estate® (CRE®), a highly selective international organization of approximately 1,000 real estate professionals. 🌎

CRE® brings together leaders across investment, development, valuation, finance, law, consulting, and brokerage — but relatively few appear to work primarily with individual homeowners and residential buyers and sellers.

💡 That intersection feels natural to me. Real estate came after a career in finance and wealth management, and I’ve carried that thinking into the way I advise clients. A home is personal, but it can also be one of a family’s largest assets.

That means asking more than: What is my house worth?

📊 Will this renovation create a return?
🏠 Should I sell or hold?
📍 What will affect long-term value?

💰 How does this fit into the bigger financial picture?
And sometimes: What does the data tell us, even when it isn’t the answer we hoped for?

🤝 What excites me most about CRE® is the network of expertise I can draw from when a client’s real estate decision becomes more complex.

The goal isn’t the transaction. It’s helping someone make a well-informed real estate decision.

Grateful for the recognition — and even more interested in what it allows me to bring back to the clients and families I advise. 🏡

I reference Travel + Leisure all the time — usually when I’m talking about a great trip, hotel or restaurant. ✈️

So I was particularly interested to see them talking about something else I love: real estate and long-term appreciation.

And even better? They ranked Raleigh #1 on their list of 9 U.S. Cities to Buy a Home in Before Prices Soar. 🏡📈

I’m always careful with headlines like “prices are going to soar.” No one can promise future appreciation, and today’s Raleigh market is much more balanced than what we experienced a few years ago.

What I found more interesting was why Raleigh made the list: continued demand coming into North Carolina, technology and business growth, major development, higher-net-worth migration and limited supply in desirable parts of our market.

That’s an important distinction.

The market we experience today and the long-term investment case for owning real estate in Raleigh aren’t necessarily the same thing.

And I especially love seeing a lifestyle publication recognize something I’ve long believed: quality of life and real estate value are connected. People want to live where they enjoy their lives — great neighborhoods, restaurants, parks, schools, culture and opportunity.

Apparently Travel + Leisure thinks Raleigh’s story still has plenty of room to run.

And they put us at #1. 🙌

Evann was baptized Saturday at Lake Gaston. 🤍🌊 The place he chose, and the place that holds so many of his favorite memories.

That’s the part I keep coming back to.

You spend years hoping the things you’ve tried to give your kids really took. That the memories, lessons, faith, and people surrounding them have given them something strong enough to hold onto. And then one day, one of them walks out into the water on his own and answers that question for you. 🙏

Evann and Kylie, our best friends’ daughter, made that decision together, surrounded by so many of the people who have loved them and been part of their lives along the way. 🤍

The rest of the weekend was exactly what Lake Gaston weekends should be — food, sun, time on the water, and a lot of laughing. ☀️🚤

I’ll be holding onto this one forever. Of all the things I’ve been fortunate enough to build in this life, nothing comes close to this. ❤️

Behind every remarkable home is a story. This one was worth telling and experiencing from every angle. 🎬

A family. A piece of land on Bells Lake. 🌲 Wood 🪵 milled by hand for the trim. Architecture 🏡 that holds its own from every angle. Outdoor spaces that live like a private resort 🏊‍♂️ — because the people who built it knew exactly how they wanted to live.

We sat down with them and hope you enjoy their story. 🎥

Offered at $3,695,000

A passport full of stamps ✈️, a phone full of selfies 📸, and two boys who keep showing me the world right back 🌎. They’re always up for something! Being their mom and stepmom changed everything 💛 — and watching Braxton graduate from NC State this weekend 🎓🐺 is one of those moments that makes you sit down and let it land.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the women I’m lucky enough to know 🤍 — the seasoned moms, the brand-new ones holding their babies for their first Mother’s Day 👶, and the friends who mother in a hundred quiet ways. Walking with so many of you through the where these memories happen 🏡 is something I’ll never stop being grateful for.

The question I’m hearing most right now:
“What’s actually driving the market?” 📊

It’s not a simple up or down answer.
What we’re seeing is a market that’s segmented, selective, and highly dependent on positioning. 🧭

Some homes are moving quickly with strong terms. ⚡
Others are sitting longer and requiring adjustments. ⏳

The difference isn’t luck—it’s alignment. 🎯

If you’re thinking about buying or selling, understanding how your specific price point is behaving matters more than any headline. 📍

I broke this down in more detail on my website. 🔗

Two homes. Two completely different lifestyles.

🌿 Wendell Falls — one of the only homes with a private pool
Walkable community, trails, coffee, and space to unwind… with your own backyard retreat.

🏙️ 922 Tower Street — modern, urban, and connected
Clean design, light-filled spaces, and just minutes to everything Raleigh has to offer.

Same market. Same moment.
Just a different version of what “home” looks like to you.

The question isn’t which house is better—
it’s which lifestyle fits you right now.

Curious how these compare (and where the opportunity is in today’s market)? Send me a message.
