​🚫 The "No-Fly" List: Your fireplace isn’t a trash can! Avoid burning pizza boxes, wrapping paper, or junk mail. They create "rogue sparks" that can jump right out at you. Stick to seasoned wood or store-bought logs only.
​mThe 3-Foot Rule: We love a floor pillow moment, but keep anything flammable (curtains, rugs, pets, or holiday decor) at least 3 feet away from the hearth. Give that fire some personal space! 🙅‍♂️

New years at Countdown on the Cobblestones, a lively event bringing music and festivities to the Old Sacramento Waterfront on New Year’s Eve. The event will feature live music, interactive activities, and a dazzling fireworks display, providing a family-friendly alternative to midnight festivities.

“Countdown on the Cobblestones is free and open to the public, making it an accessible way for families and friends to come together and celebrate the arrival of 2026,” said City spokesperson Jennifer Singer.

The celebration will run from 5 to 10 p.m. on Dec. 31, with entertainment and activities stretching across K Street and Front Street. Join us for a night of celebration and live music featuring:
