UPDATE: I'm now down 20 lbs since starting GLP injections! And weight loss hasn't been the only benefit!
-My gut health improved IMMEDIATELY after the very first shot! (I was having some serious issues, but I'll spare you the gross details)
-My A1C number has dropped, and I'm no longer considered pre-diabetic! Woohoo!
-The brain fog from menopause has reduced significantly!
What else has it done for me?
-It's reduced my hunger... and I mean by A LOT! My appetite was previously out of control, and I had gotten up to 251 lbs (the heaviest I've ever been in my life). Now I'm rarely hungry.
-Eliminated by compulsive eating habit. I don't feel like eating now unless I'm actually hungry.
-Makes me fill full much faster. I can now only eat about 1/3-1/4 of the portions that I did previously.
-Keep me full longer. A late lunch or early dinner can keep me full for the rest of the day.
-I'm saving money on groceries, obviously, lol
What you need to know:
-If you start a GLP, you'll want to track everything you eat so you can make sure you're still getting enough protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. You'll also need to make sure you stay hydrated.
-Tirzepatide is stronger and more effective the semaglutide. I started out out on sema and switched to tirz and noticed a huge difference.
-The shots do not hurt. I was nervous before administering the first injection, but then amazed that I didn't feel a thing. Just make sure you inject in the recommended places, and let the syringe set out a few minutes to get to room temperature after you've filled it, because injecting cold medication right out of the frig may cause some discomfort.
I get my vials of tirzepatide from Piper (link below). You'll need to complete a questionnaire about your health to make sure a GLP is safe for you. If you are eligible, one of their doctors will forward your prescription to one of their pharmacies, and your vials and other other supplies will be packaged in ice packs and shipped to you quickly.
I like Piper because they charge the same even when my dosage increases, and there's no membership fee. It's a subscription program, but you can cancel at any time. They offer both semaglutide and tirzepatide, as well as NAD and other medications. Check them out!
