I was 16 when I had her — young, inexperienced, and full of dreams for my little girl. So when I found out she was pregnant, I didn’t respond the way a loving mother should have. I panicked. I was terrified of every hardship I knew was possible, every struggle I had lived. I didn’t want her to carry what I had carried. She had her whole life ahead of her, and I knew a baby wouldn’t make it impossible — just a little harder, a little longer. But God and my little Aries had other plans.
Loving her baby was never a question — because I love HER so much.
She stumbled. She fell. She flipped, she twirled — and she landed on her feet. She is grounded, strong, resilient, and loving. She has grown into one of the greatest mothers I have ever known.
And today, her daughter — my Kaiyana — is 18 years old and graduating high school.
Kai is a glowing reflection of her mother’s intelligence, unconditional love, sacrifice, and selflessness. She is who she is because her mother is who she is.
I am beyond proud of my girls. Both of them. All of this — every stumble, every triumph — brought us here. And here is beautiful. 🎓💙
Congratulations Kimi!!!
And to My KaiYai, My BabyLove, My SweetGirl, My HunniBunni, My Boop…you are THAT GIRL! You are my wildest dream! LSU is so lucky to have you and so are we! 💙 Keep shining - the world needs your light! I love you Baby 😘
