Mortgage rates dropped for the second week in a row, falling below 5% for the first time since mid-April. And the inventory of homes for sale is up. A "perfect storm'.

With home prices softening and vacancy rates near zero now is actually a sweet spot to buy. Even though rates have risen to 6 ish %, historically that's not bad. I jumped at 10.25% buying my 1st house & made an 80% profit selling. Today that house is worth $1.5M! And the lady attorney lawyer who bought it loves me!
Oh, and nearly all interest paid in early years is tax deductible, so, after tax savings, that 6% will probably be 4%! Cheaper than rent, and you'll be living in YOUR investment NOT your landlords!
