This has been an awesome week! Got a ratified contract on my very first listing in Nottingham! Got another listing, that went active this week in N.E. Baltimore! Got 2 Buyer contracts, one is ratified and the other one is pending...and I have a coming soon listing.. to be listed soon in Perry Hall! Real Estate is a fast and furious ride! My Tips For House Hunting:
1. Set up an appointment to talk to a professional! ( Doesn't hurt to do some research on your own even before talking to a Realtor).
2. Know what area or part of town you want to invest in and live in! (Buying a home is a big investment).
3. Know your absolute must-halves and what you can live with.
4. Have your finances in order. (When deciding to put a contract on a home, you will need a deposit of $1000 to show the seller, you are serious about purchasing the property....this is called an EMD- Earnest Money Deposit...and this amount can be more, depends on other factors)(Also there is a down payment and closing needed, which includes money amounts needed).
5. Also know about your credit and your credit scores. (Be honest with your agent and your lender, they should be able to give you advice).
6. Keep an open mind when looking at homes and know that cosmetic things can always be changed!
7. Always choose a Realtor, that you trust, that has knowledge about real estate matters, that has a team of people to help you and values you as a client and truly works hard to get the best for you!
