Pfanny's Farm

Pfanny's Farm Intentional Living...Real Food, Real Life, Real Choices Pfanny’s Farm is a working homestead rooted in real food, real life, and real choices.

What started as a way to grow healthy food for our family has grown into something much bigger. Today, we share our gardens, greenhouse, and experience with others who want to reconnect with where their food comes from and how it’s grown. We grow food sustainably, offer hands-on learning, host community events, and welcome guests to stay on the farm. You might hear roosters in the morning, see chickens scratching around, or meet Gandhi the Goose, the ducks-Harry & Maude, and Beau, our farm dog, along the way. It’s not perfect, but it’s real. Pfanny's Farm is also the home base for Roots & Wings Wellness, where we focus on mindfulness, behavior change, and real food to support lasting, meaningful health. From fresh produce and value-added goods in our StoreFront to wellness programs, workshops, and stays in Mrs. Pfanny's Garden Cottage, everything we do is centered around building community and helping people take small, meaningful steps toward a healthier life. Come learn, slow down, and experience a little slice of farm life with us.

Seed saving doesn't have to be complicated... start with the easy ones!

Cosmos, 4 O'Clocks, marigolds, zinnias, and beans are great choices for beginners. Let a few flowers or pods dry, collect the seeds, and save a little goodness for next year's garden.

Our Community Seed Share at Pfanny's Farm is about sharing seeds, knowledge, and growing together.

Donations of seeds and supplies to help keep this program growing are always welcome!

What seeds would you like to learn to save?

As we move closer to cold and flu season, it's a good time to start nurturing our immune systems... naturally.

Real, nourishing food. Plenty of sleep. Movement. Time outdoors. Meaningful connection. And a little less stress when we can manage it.

There’s no magic pill for wellness. Just small, consistent choices that support our bodies and help us build a stronger foundation.

What’s one thing you can do today to care for your immune system?

We've had a few busy days! Both the sourdough, and the fire c***r workshops were well attended, September's Second Sunday event went over great-even with the rainy weather, this will be our busiest Harvest Host week all season, AND to top it all off we welcomed the Nebraska Economic Development Group to the farm for a tour today :)

How's that for a run-on sentence!?! We're a little out of breath from the sentence, and all the activities 😆

Whew! Please be patient with us as we catch our breath and restock the StoreFront. Hopefully we'll be returning to more regular hours soon.

One time I read a book and was convinced I needed to learn how to play the ukulele... so I bought one.

One time I read a book and decided I needed to befriend a crow... still a work in progress. 😆

I just finished listening to *The Serviceberry* by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and once again, I’m convinced I need to do something.

This time... I think it’s about sharing.

So, during our StoreFront Second Sunday hours this month, we’ll be sharing aloe vera leaves with anyone who stops by.

No purchase necessary. Just come visit, take a little aloe home, and maybe pass something along to someone else.

Second Sunday September 13th
9–3

Apparently, you never know what a book might inspire around here.

**A little note about our absence… **

You may have noticed that we’ve been quieter here and at the StoreFront. We’ve simply been prioritizing and choosing to put our time and energy where it matters most right now.

That means a little less social media, fewer StoreFront hours, and a slower pace at the farm.

But we’re still here! ❤️
Pfanny’s Farm is still growing, creating, and dreaming.

Thank you for your patience, your support, and for understanding that sometimes the best choice is to step back, simplify, and focus on what matters most.

We appreciate you!
