🚨 Stop letting people play with your money🚨
A landlord asking for first month’s rent, last month’s rent, a security deposit, AND a broker’s fee should be a signal to ask questions.
A key point to understand:
🏡 If a landlord hires an agent to market and lease their property, the landlord—not the tenant—should generally be responsible for paying that agent. If you hire your own agent to help you find a rental, that’s a different situation.
