Apparently, one of our high tunnels makes a pretty sweet backdrop for a very important question! 💍

This is exactly why we love sharing the farm. It's not just a place to sleep for the night. It's a place to slow down, wander, breathe, reconnect, celebrate...and maybe make a little history of your own.

Mrs. Pfanny here...
One of the biggest lessons this farm has taught me over the years is that sustainability isn't just about the land. It's also about the people caring for it. It has taken me years to embrace the idea that slowing down, eating well, resting, and setting healthy boundaries aren't luxuries-they're essential if we want this life to be sustainable.

I'm still a work in progress. Some days I do this well, and other days I need the reminder myself. But little by little, I'm learning that taking care of ourselves isn't selfish-it allows us to keep showing up for the people we love, the work we're called to do, and this beautiful piece of land we're blessed to steward.

Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is step back from the noise of everyday life for a little while. Give ourselves the gift of quiet. Listen to the birds instead of our notifications. Watch the sunset instead of another screen. Breathe deeply. Reflect. Remember what really matters.

I can't think of a better place for that than the farm. Whether you're wandering the gardens, sipping a beverage on the porch, reading beneath the trees, or simply enjoying the stillness, this little corner of Nebraska has a way of helping you reconnect with yourself.

“The Peace of Wild Things” — Wendell Berry

When despair for the world grows in me…
I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water…
I come into the peace of wild things…
For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.

Here at Pfanny’s Farm, we know that kind of peace-the kind that seeps in quietly when you step away from the noise and let nature do her healing work. The soil, the birds, the green stillness- they remind us how to breathe again.

ok...disclaimer, we don't have wood drakes, but we do have 2 ducks-Harry & Maude, and they keep us well entertained! :)
