Today we celebrate the birthday of William S. Burroughs, the legendary writer whose words and rhythm left a mark on The Doors.

Burroughs’ swirling, experimental style didn’t just influence literature, it shaped Jim Morrison’s poetry and The Doors’ music.

Their collaboration lives on in “Is Everybody In?,” an adaptation of Morrison’s AN AMERICAN PRAYER, where Burroughs delivers Morrison’s words with his signature deadpan intensity over the band’s hypnotic rhythm.

It's been a challenging year, but I'm relieved that it's nearly over, thanks to the timely intervention of my son, Scott, who helped steer me through troubled waters.
