It is very rare that a closing "hits close to home," but this one literally does, and is undoubtedly the most meaningful and memorable transaction that I will ever have in my real estate career.

Stewart Oil was incorporated in 1979 and has been in my family for decades. While over the years it may not have looked like much from the outside, the inside was filled with heart, history, and memories. It was known to host some of the most epic Christmas parties east of the Missouri in years back, and was the town hub for morning gossip, coffee, and ci******es. While it was never known for its exterior beauty, technology, fire safety/prevention practices, or 5-star Google reviews, there was something incredible to be said about it.

Stewart Oil provided for my family since before I can remember. My dad worked 6 to 7 days a week and was always there, which taught me to be humble, work hard, shop/stay local, loyalty, and above all, never judge a book by its cover.

Very seldom in a career do you get to take part in a 47+ year historic chapter coming to an end, and as emotional and bittersweet as it is, I am grateful to have been able to be a part of it. On behalf of my late father, my family, and myself, thank you for some of the most memorable 47+ years in Vermillion history. To the loyal customers, friends, and locals who supported Stewart Oil and my family over the last almost 5 decades, your friendships and loyalties were more than most people could ever receive in a lifetime.
