Such an amazing turnout at Real Estate Talks today!

Last month, we made the decision to switch our workshop from an evening event to a daytime Lunch & Learn — and today proved that was the right move. The energy, attendance, and engagement were exactly what we hoped for!

Our goal with Real Estate Talks has always been to create a space that benefits our community — a place where local professionals, business owners, and community members can come together, learn, connect, and walk away with real value.

A huge thank you to Visit Rapid City for being our speaker today and sharing such great insight into our area, tourism, growth, and the impact it all has on our local real estate market and community.

We are so grateful for everyone who showed up, asked questions, shared ideas, and continues to support this vision. Real Estate Talks is growing — and we are just getting started!

Lunch & Learn might just be the ticket. 😉

In March, we had the opportunity to welcome Shasta Moreno as our Real Estate Talks speaker, sharing insight on EOS — the Entrepreneurial Operating System.

One of the biggest reasons we bring in speakers like Shasta is because growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when we get around the right people, ask better questions, and learn systems that help us lead, organize, and build with more intention.

EOS is all about clarity, accountability, vision, and ex*****on — which honestly applies to any business owner, leader, or professional trying to grow without living in constant chaos. And let’s be real… most of us could use a little less chaos and a lot more “where is this going and who’s doing what?” energy.

We’re grateful to Shasta for sharing her knowledge and helping bring practical, valuable tools to the room.

That’s what Real Estate Talks is about: bringing in strong voices, useful conversations, and real-world takeaways that help people keep growing — personally and professionally.

One of our favorite parts of hosting our Real Estate Talks Workshop is being intentional about the people we bring into the room.

In April, we had the opportunity to hear from Josh Roberts, author of Leadership Level Up, and he brought such a powerful message around leadership, growth, mindset, and showing up at a higher level — not just in business, but in life.

We don’t choose speakers just to fill a spot on the calendar. We choose people who can challenge us, encourage us, educate us, and help us grow as individuals, leaders, and community members.

Because growth is so much more than what we do professionally. It’s communication. It’s service. It’s learning how to keep leveling up so we can better show up for the people around us.

A huge thank you to Josh for pouring into our group and reminding us that leadership is something we practice daily — sometimes with a microphone, sometimes with a messy calendar, and sometimes with a whole lot of coffee. 😉

Grateful for these conversations, these connections, and the opportunity to keep bringing meaningful education to our community.

Monday night wasn’t about real estate.
It was about protecting our kids.

At our Real Estate Talks Workshop, we were honored to have Holly Strand (Forensic Investigator for Pennington County) speak about child exploitation, online dangers, and what’s really happening behind the screens our children hold every day.

The truth?
The internet is not as innocent as it looks.

Holly broke down:
• How predators operate
• The apps parents should be aware of
• Warning signs to watch for
• Practical ways to protect your children

As parents, this one hit close to home. Knowledge is power. And pretending it “won’t happen here” is not a strategy.

We can’t monitor every second… but we can educate ourselves. We can have conversations. We can put guardrails in place.

Thank you to everyone who showed up Monday night. These are the conversations that matter. These are the rooms that change communities.

If you missed it and want resources or future workshop information, message me. We’re just getting started.

🚨This is a BIG one. 🚨

We are so excited to invite you to our next Real Estate Talks event and this one is truly one of the most important seminars we’ve ever hosted.

Join us for Internet Safety in the 21st Century, led by Hollie Strand, a Forensic Investigator with Pennington County assigned to the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Hollie has worked in the field for 27 years and has held positions as a police officer, forensic interviewer, and counselor, giving her a unique and powerful perspective on what is happening online right now.

This presentation is designed to educate, empower, and equip parents, guardians, teachers, and caretakers with real-life information and practical tools to help protect our youth in today’s digital world.

We’ll cover topics like:
• Digital footprints and social media
• What to share and what to keep private
• Online threats and cyber stalking
• Sextortion
• Child exploitation and internet crimes
• What to watch for and how to respond

⚠️ This seminar is 18+ only.
Not because we’re trying to be dramatic — but because this content is not appropriate for children and Hollie needs to be able to share the raw truth so adults can truly understand what’s happening and how to protect kids.
