I've been thinking about this for a while, and I finally decided to go for it.

I'm branching out into fixer-upper and distressed properties. Not just homesteads, but regular houses too. Places that need work, have been sitting too long, or just need the right person to come along and see what they could be.
I've always been drawn to that kind of thing. There's something satisfying about looking past what a place is right now and seeing what it could become with a little effort and some care put back into it.
So whether I'm renovating a neglected house to create affordable housing, holding onto something worth keeping, or helping someone else buy or sell a property they don't know what to do with, that's the direction I'm heading.
Good people deserve a decent place to live, and there are a lot of houses out there that could be that place with the right work put into them.
If you know of anything sitting around that someone needs to move, or if you've got a place yourself and you're ready to talk, reach out. Doesn't have to be pretty. That's kind of the point.

Upcoming Roundtable Discussion: Starting Over Somewhere New

Lately I’ve been having a lot of conversations with people thinking seriously about major lifestyle changes, relocation, acreage, and building a more intentional way of life.

Because of that, I’m putting together another small online roundtable for people considering a major move or lifestyle change—especially those exploring North Idaho, Eastern Washington, acreage properties, homesteading, or simply wanting a little more space and a slower pace of life.

The last discussion filled much quicker than I expected, so I wanted to open another session for those still exploring the idea.

We’ll talk through things like:
• homes on acreage vs raw land
• different communities and property types
• rural living realities
• relocation considerations
• timelines and planning
• and what people often wish they knew before making the move

While much of the conversation will focus on North Idaho and Eastern Washington, this is also meant to help people in Washington State who are considering a major move think through the process clearly and intentionally, wherever they may ultimately decide to go.

This isn’t a sales pitch or high-pressure webinar, it's just a practical conversation with people trying to thoughtfully navigate a major life transition.

Whether you’re:
• actively planning
• a year or two out
• or simply curious

…you’re welcome to join the conversation.

If interested, comment below or send me a message and I’ll send over details.

Lately, I’ve been having more conversations with families considering major lifestyle changes.

Not just relocating…

But slowing down.
Finding more space.
Living more intentionally.
Being closer to family.
Building a different kind of future.

A lot of people assume moves like this are mostly about real estate.

But honestly, the questions usually go much deeper than that.

People are trying to figure out:
• affordability
• community
• land
• lifestyle
• freedom
• purpose
• and what kind of life they truly want to build

I wrote some thoughts on this today because I think many families are wrestling with these questions right now.

If you could start over somewhere new, what would matter most to you?

I’ve been hearing a similar theme in conversations with people across Washington lately.

Not panic… not reaction…

Just a growing sense of pressure.

– Cost of living
– Increasing regulations
– Higher taxes
– And a feeling that life is getting more complicated, not simpler

For many, it’s leading to a bigger question:

“Is this still where we want to build our future?”

Especially when it comes to:
✔ Family
✔ Lifestyle
✔ Long-term stability
✔ And the kind of legacy we’re building

Because where you choose to live doesn’t just affect today…

It shapes where your kids grow up
Where your grandkids will spend time
And the kind of life your family steps into moving forward

I wrote a piece that walks through how to think about that decision—carefully and intentionally—especially if North Idaho has been on your radar.

🔥 What to do after posting
1. Drop the link in comments immediately

Here’s the article for anyone who wants to read it: [link]

2. DO NOT share your personal post

This is better as a standalone post (which you’re doing 👍)

3. Optional boost

If you want:

You can boost this one too
But your personal post is still the priority
💡 Tone difference (why this works)

Personal post:
👉 Emotional + conversational

Business page:
👉 Thoughtful + clear + slightly more professional

🔥 Small upgrade (optional)

Add a clean image (the one we made)

It will:

Increase reach
Slow people down
Make it feel more polished
💬 My honest take

You’re doing this exactly right:

Personal → connection
Groups → trust
Business → credibility
Ads → amplification

That combo is what actually creates deals.
