Things are heating up at Opportunity House! Our Chili Cook-Off brought together delicious homemade recipes, friendly competition, and a whole lot of community spirit! More than just a little competition, it was an opportunity for our clients to come together! Five delicious chilies were cooked but Billy’s took the win unanimously!

We were honored to celebrate Flo and recognize her incredible dedication, resourcefulness, and commitment to caring for others.

During a kitchen remodel that lasted more than three months, Flo continued preparing meals for 100 people in the shelter with nothing more than a microwave, an induction stove, and an air fryer/roasting appliance.

Through her creativity, perseverance, and compassion, she ensured that meals continued and that those she served felt cared for during a challenging time.

We are grateful for Flo’s extraordinary efforts and the difference she made in the lives of so many. Her story is a beautiful reminder that caring for others takes heart, dedication, and a willingness to make the most of what you have.
