Hunting season is officially underway in Colorado.

A successful hunt doesn’t end with the harvest. Proper care and processing are an important part of bringing quality wild game home to your family.

I put together this statewide guide featuring 10 wild-game processors serving hunters across Colorado. Save it for later and share it with others. Hours, drop-off requirements and cooler capacity can change quickly during the season so be sure to check in with your processor.

I know there are other great processors out there. Who did I miss? Drop their name and location in the comments so we can continue building this into a useful resource for Colorado hunters.

CLOSED | Quaker Mountain Cabin

The wildlife we documented at Quaker Mountain Cabin played a big role in connecting this property with its new owner. An avid archery hunter, he saw the combination of consistent elk and mule deer activity along with National Forest boundary and access into country that can be difficult for the public to reach, creating a great opportunity to hunt elk from the Bears Ears herd.

I had the privilege of representing both the buyer and seller and appreciate the trust they placed in me throughout the transaction. The new owner is already looking forward to putting the property to use this archery season.

A big thank you as well to Krisa Joy and the WFG National Title - Cherry Creek, CO team on the closing side and Austin Griffith Rural 1st on the lending side. Both went above and beyond to keep everything moving and helped make this a smooth and successful transaction from start to finish.
