Please note that our meeting scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed.

Instead, we will meet on Wednesday, September 23rd. Please bring your unsold tickets and any money collected to this meeting, as we hope to finalize the collections for After Prom at that time.

Following the meeting, we need as many volunteers as possible to help wrap potatoes at Hy-Vee. It usually takes less than an hour.

Good afternoon,
The club will have it;s first meeting of September in the morning at 7.
We will be discussing information from the District Convention regarding club awards. We will also get an update on ticket sales and needs for the pork chop supper from Kirk Johnson. Kirk and I will be on KCSI at 10 tomorrow morning as well.
Our guest speaker will be Mark Erickson, Activities Director at the Red Oak Community School District. I have asked Mark to update us on progress so far this school year and changes in athletic conferences.
Please make an extra effort to sell your tickets. Governor Jane will be here so we need to show her how proud we are to serve our community.

Join us for our annual supper in honor of Bill Jones, longtime supporter of the project and the After Prom event. Tickets available NOW from Optimists, After-Prom parents and students as well as Scouts. 12 OZ Smoked pork chop, green beans, baked potato, dinner roll and a dessert treat provided by the after-prom committee. All dinners include butter, sour cream and eating utensils! A can't miss meal at a can't beat price!

"The Red Oak Optimist Club Bill Jones Annual Pork Chop Supper" will be held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Auditorium (Gold Fair Building) on Thursday September 24, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A dinner of 12oz Smoked Pork Chop, green beans, baked potato, dinner roll and a delicious dessert provided by the Red Oak After Prom committee. Drive Thru service preferred but carry outs will also be available. All dinners will include sour cream and eating utensils. Tickets are $13.00 each or two for $25.00. Proceeds go towards the Red Oak After Prom and local Scouts. Tickets are available NOW from Optimist members or Red Oak After Prom folks. Let us bring tickets to you by calling 712-621-0051!
