When COVID found Michael reassessing his career journey as a general contractor, a door cracked open into home inspection. Here’s Michael’s story.

Each month, we like to highlight one of the 4,000+ inspectors on the Inspectify platform with a social media post and a box of goodies as a small token of our appreciation. Our first Inspector Spotlight of 2024 is on Michael Roberson from Prime Property Inspections! Michael has been inspecting in our hometown of Seattle, WA, for over two and a half years. He’s always a pleasure to work with and gives 110% on every inspection.

When asked about working with Inspectify, Michael said, "Working with Inspectify has been an amazing experience. All the staff that I deal with are professional and friendly. They have excellent communication and are easy to work with. The flexibility of working with Inspectify has allowed me to add them to my current home inspection services easily.”

As usual, we also asked Michael to share some unique experiences on the job. He said he sees many critters, but something else scared him the most: "I can only describe as a fungus mass that was growing under a toilet drain leak in the crawlspace. It was about 6" - 8" wide and had a bunch of strands of hair that were translucent like fiber optic cables. The strands would all stand up and vibrate every time I shone my flashlight on it and lay back down when I moved the light away. That one got me for sure!”

Horrifying. That’s the only word that comes to mind after a story like that. We’ll add it to our never-ending list of why you should get a home inspection, folks!
