Maintenance Monday! Electrical Safety in your home.

✅ Extension cords are intended as a temporary solution to a lack of accessible outlets. Install enough outlets at your rental properties to prevent tenants from taking matters into their own hands and putting their safety at risk.

✅ Check cords running from appliances before your next tenant moves in. Replace any frayed cords, and remove any cords you find under carpets or running across doorways. Cold weather could mean portable heaters, so warn your tenants against using appliances with frayed cords or plugging multiple heating appliance into the same outlet.
