Partnership between Robert R. (Bill) Bahrke was formed. At the time the partnership was formed, Redmond was in a very active period, with five surveying/ engineering firms practicing in town. We were the only firm to survive the depression of the 1980's.

* Nov., 1987
Both Randy Povey and Bill Bahrke obtained OR. Water Right Examiner licenses #10 and #106.

* July, 1983
Bill Bahrke obtained OR. Registered Professional Land Surveyor #2039

1972-1979
Partnership between E.G. (Al) Mansfield and Randy Povey was formed.

* March, 1977
Bill Bahrke was hired as a crew chief to deal with the community
activity.

* July, 1978
Randy Povey obtained OR. Registered Preofssional Land Surveyor
License #1652.

1965-1972
E.G. Mansfield, (OR. Surveyor #10) hired his Grandson (Randy Povey) to help him on his survey crew during off-school days. Randy
became interested in the occupation and decided to change his school major to Land Surveying.

1922-1965
E.G. Mansfield operated a part-time Redmond Land Survey business. He was the manager of Central Oregon Irrigation District (30 years) and the Union Oil Representative during the time period.

* March 10, 1944
Al Mansfield obtained OR. Licensed Land Surveyor #10 in the first class of surveyors to be licensed as Land Surveyors in the State of Oregon.

Here’s another look at one of our recent survey flights in Madras.
After capturing over 3 miles of aerial data, we processed and classified the point cloud to create an accurate representation of the site. This allows us to analyze and model the data to fit our clients’ needs.

Accuracy is everything in surveying, which is why every flight starts with solid control. By establishing a base point, setting ground control and check points, and verifying the coordinate system, we’re able to deliver reliable real-world data our clients can trust.

Here is a sneak peek into our first SLAM to BIM project. This has been a journey for sure! From getting our first scanner to final deliverables. We now have a grasp on what is possible for Povey and Associates moving forward with mobile scanning and we can't wait to share more!

Have you ever seen a “drone video” after it has been processed? It might look a little different at first, so here is what you are seeing. This is a 3D point cloud model. We flew and scanned this college in The Dalles, Oregon, creating a detailed 3D environment of the entire site. With software from NUBIGON, we can use that data to recreate smooth, cinematic drone-style footage without needing to fly the site again. This process uses some of the same concepts you see in movies and TV shows. Maybe not quite Hollywood level, but still a fun and powerful way to create and share our work.
