Many people--from various backgrounds, diverse ages, and ethnicities--banded together peacefully to show support of a worthy cause to address the injustice stemming from racism.

The rally was moving, and I was completely inspired by the young lady who organized the event. The organizer--a 14yr old girl--decided to stand up against the racial injustice and brought over 2, 000 people together to join in her fight. Among the attendees were many influential community leaders. This event was a testament of how together, as one, we can rise above the hatred.

The Redwood City Police Department would like to thank the community for doing their part to ensure a peaceful demonstration continues this evening at Courthouse Square. Based on information from an alert protester, we were able to arrest an individual with a concealed, serrated machete, approximately 3-feet long, hidden within his protest sign.
