Interesting.

Several updates to state code intended to streamline the permitting process for construction projects in the state’s riverbeds, lake bottoms, streams and tidal lands have been signed into law by the governor.

“We are cutting the time Delawareans can expect for a straightforward dock permit or a utility line crossing, with clear timelines and more certainty for applicants,” said Gov. Matt Meyer, in a prepared statement Sept. 2. Approved by the General Assembly during the most recent session, House Bill 456 streamlines the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control’s subaqueous permitting processes in a number of ways.

Good news for some first time buyers!

Gov. Wes Moore announced a new Maryland mortgage program for first responders and teachers buying their first homes. The program offers a lower interest rate and 5% assistance toward down payments and closing costs for eligible buyers.
