We had a nice Saturday. The plan was: 1. Go online and buy a Christmas tree permit. 2. Hunt for a Tree. 3. Decorate the tree. Getting the permit was tough. They were sold out, but somehow Angela, my ex-wife, was able to get a permit from here: https://www.recreation.gov/tree-permits/b2ce4e36-ebd2-11ea-b83f-6e0e43d29f74 My boys, their girlfriends, my ex-wife, Monnik, her son, and I headed for Alder Creek Rd in Truckee, CA. We spent some time hiking up and down the hills of the permitted pine tree cutting area. We threw snowballs, made snow angels, yellow snow, and finally found the perfect tree! It was pretty! The best tree we have ever gotten! Max's tiny 90 lb girlfriend and I carried the tree back to Max's truck. (She carried the heavy end too!) Aw, what a day! We picnicked on the tailgate before driving home. I should have said something. I think a few of us we're gonna make a comment. I didn't want to sound naggy or like a know, it all, so I kept quiet. Little did I know, that only minutes away, I would swerve to dodge that perfect little tree as it skidded down the fast lane leaving branches and pine needles behind! Haha!
What a day! We put up the fake tree Sunday. 😉
