Here is some information from one of my trusted Lender, Trish Searles Kirsch: "FED Chair Powell spoke yesterday and his comments weren’t exactly bond friendly. The 10-yr Treasury Bond crossed above 5% for the first time since July 2007. Last night, President Biden offered more aid to Israel and Ukraine. Most likely those funds will come from more bond supply. More supply, less demand = higher yields. That alone may mean the FED is done with its rate hiking cycle.

According to Mortgage News Daily, national average rates heading into the weekend will be around:

7.95% conventional 30 yr
7.35% conventional 15 yr
7.39% FHA
7.39% VA

With the recent FED “pivot”, NAR has now adjusted their 2024 forecasts! Here’s what they’re looking for now:
- Existing home sales up 13.5% year over year!!!
- Median Home prices up 1% year over year
- Average mortgage rates hover around 6.3%
- 1.4 million housing starts

This is a VERY bullish forecast but it makes sense. Lower rates will = higher home sales. "
