Is summer really the best time to buy a home in Reno?

More listings hit the market, but so do more buyers.

Right now in South Reno, I'm seeing families trying to move before school starts, California buyers flying in for weekend showings, and well-priced homes in neighborhoods like Damonte Ranch and Arrowcreek moving quickly.

I recently had a buyer find the perfect home in 89521, decide to "think about it," and lose it to another buyer within days.

So is summer a good time to buy? Yes, but only if you're prepared.

Probate and trust sales in Nevada have specific requirements that most families don't know about until they're already in the middle of the process. The timeline is different.
