π² One of the most iconic and unsettling TV shows ever made was filmed less than an hour from Seattle. And the Pacific Northwest forest wasn't just a backdrop β it was the whole point.
π Twin Peaks debuted in 1990 and changed television forever. The foggy logging town, the towering evergreens, the eerie quiet β all of it was real. And it's right here.
π‘ HINT: Think Snoqualmie Falls. A diner with cherry pie. A logging mill in the opening credits. If you've driven through the foothills east of Seattle, you've driven through Twin Peaks.

David Lynch filmed Twin Peaks almost entirely in Snoqualmie and North Bend, Washington β two small towns about 30 minutes east of Seattle. The Salish Lodge perched above Snoqualmie Falls is the Great Northern Hotel. Twede's CafΓ© in North Bend is the real Double R Diner. Lynch famously used the Pacific Northwest landscape like a character in its own right β the fog, the trees, and the quiet were as important as any actor.
David Lynch passed away in January 2025. But his vision of this place β our place β lives on in every frame. π²
