Scrolling through my 2016 camera roll like everyone one else on the internet is a trip – Seth and I lived in Mystic, CT (yes, Mystic Pizza is a real place). It was in my first full year as a licensed broker, the year I got my first listing 🥹 and did my first branding shoot.
It was also the year I learned to ski, ran my first (and only lol) 10K, the year we went to Whistler for our first epic ski trip as a framily, travelled to Scotland with Seth, Colorado for a beer festival and hiking and went to Austin to visit my bestie for Halloween (apparently instead of celebrating my first anniversary with my husband? 😂). Lots of Instagram screenshots and oversaturated “artistic” VSCO edits. Workout progress photos. Skinny jeans. Camping trips. East Coast living also meant more visits with our parents (South Jersey and Pittsburgh, respectively) and childhood friends. Living in coastal Connecticut was absolutely beautiful, and we took lots of bike rides, visited breweries and wineries, went on hikes, toured museums, visited the Breakers, went to Boston, explored Rhode Island and rang in the new year at The Ocean House in Watch Hill (yes, right next to Taylor’s place.) Fig was such a baby! Her sweet little face is mostly white now. 🐶❤️ Looking back is equal parts empowering and cringe (how could I ever have touched that gorgeous hair with bleach?!). Some things have changed, and some have remained steady. It’s fun to reflect on the beginning of my career from where I am now, remembering the uncertainty and occasional blind panic, the support I’ve received from my incredible office, and recognizing how far I’ve come. 🥰
