Trust in AI won't come from better buzzwords. It will come from straight answers.

In a new Forbes Technology Council piece, our President and CEO Dirk Wakeham makes the case for radical honesty in AI:

→ Say plainly whether AI is meant to assist people or replace them
→ Disclose what data is used, and how
→ Keep a person accountable for every AI-supported decision

At Realpage, we instituted five principles to ensure our AI inspires trust:

• AI designed to reason from industry-specific data and workflows, not the open internet
• Every metric carries a governed definition
• Every recommendation is designed to show its work, including inputs and guardrails
• AI built to operate within compliance frameworks, with auditable actions
• A person is always accountable for the decisions AI supports

As Dirk writes: "AI carries the volume, people keep the judgment and the signature is always human."

While AI will not eliminate all jobs or cause apocalyptic outcomes, the way forward depends on tech companies practicing radical honesty.

Energy efficiency starts with visibility across your portfolio.

Before teams can reduce waste, benchmark performance, or identify conservation opportunities, they need complete, accurate utility data.

That means bringing together invoices, usage trends, exceptions, benchmarking and sustainability reporting into a single, actionable view.

Realpage Utility & Sustainability Management helps operators transform utility data into operational insight, making it easier to manage performance, measure impact and drive more informed decisions.

If the Fed were deciding this week, would it hike again? The numbers behind its last move have mostly changed.
