Richland line crews have restored power to all customers. The outage was caused by a faulty cable. Thank you so much for your patience as our dedicated Energy Services staff worked to identify the problem and restore power.
Update 4:11 pm
The line crews have restored power to the Horn Rapids residential customers. They are still working to get the commercial customers back online.
If you are still without power and your neighbors have service, flip the main breaker in your breaker panel to reset it. If that doesn’t work, call us (not 911) at (509) 942-7421 Mon. – Fri. 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or at (509) 943-4428 after hours.

Over half of our customers are back up and running. Crews are still working on the remaining homes and businesses. Richland Public Library and Richland Parks and Recreation are open until 9pm tonight if you would like to keep cool. Crews continue to work on fixing the issue. Please take extra precautions to keep your home from heating up by closing window shades and blinds and limit opening the refrigerator and/or freezer.
City of Richland line crews are responding to a power outage affecting the Horn Raids area in north Richland. They are assessing the cause, and we’ll provide more information soon.
